Lack of funding & lack of training equals lack of choice for children
The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has today published findings from a survey which show that children with life-limiting conditions are being let down by a lack of staff, training and resources in children’s community health services. Together for Short Lives has long called for action to ensure that there are sufficient numbers of nurses with the skills, knowledge and competencies needed to care for children with complex and life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

Celebrities help make moments count for Children’s Hospice Week 2015
A whole host of celebrities are helping make every moment count for this year’s Children’s Hospice Week (11-17 May). The campaign is led by national charity Together for Short Lives and is the only awareness and fundraising week for children with life-limiting conditions and the services, like children's hospices, that provide a vital lifeline to families. Together for Short Lives Patrons Simon Cowell and Holly Willoughby both shared a memorable moment as part of the campaign.
