Rough Runner is an obstacle course challenge, combining distance running with a variety of obstacles along the way, each inspired by game shows such as Total Wipeout, Takeshi’s Castle, Gladiators, and Fun House. Expect sweeper arms, giant pigeon battles, big balls and yes, The Travelator!

We’re returning to Bristol after a great event in 2017, with over 2,500 Roughians taking on the Rough Runner Challenge. The grounds of Easter Compton will be hosting our full-scale, epic obstacle event, with a beautifully flat run throughout, all while overlooking the valley nearby. And of course, some seriously awesome obstacles along the way!

We’ll have a 5km route with 10 obstacles, a 10km route with 15, and a full 20 obstacles on our 15km route if you’re up for the toughest challenge. Best of all, everyone who joins us for the game show-inspired journey will cross the Travelator at the finish line. So you can consider that particular childhood dream fulfilled!

The venue is readily accessible from many cities, such as Oxford, London, Birmingham, Bath and Bristol.

Why not make it a family event and sign up for Roughian Rascals at the same time.

You CAN hit that sponsorship target!

Don’t be overwhelmed by the sponsorship, you’ll make it and who knows – you may even smash it!
As well as asking friends, family and colleagues for donations, you can also organise extra fundraising activities to reach your goal. When you sign up, you’ll receive a fundraising pack which has loads of ideas to help get you started. It’s split into two sections; covering quick fundraising ideas for busy people and larger fundraising activities such as setting up a pub quiz.

We are always here to help support you in reaching your goal, so feel free to get in touch with us any time. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Nathan Fuller on events@togetherforshortlives.org.uk.
