Activities Team Leader – Chestnut Tree House, nr Arundel

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire, providing specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

We have an exciting new opportunity for an individual who is passionate about helping to develop play and activities for children and young people at Chestnut Tree House.

Your duties will include:

• Managing a small team of staff to plan, implement and evaluate a range of activities and outings for children and young people.
• Organising school holiday events including on line activities, parties, entertainers and special visitors to the house
• Creating and providing inclusive opportunities for children and young people to experience play, social interaction and learning
• Ensuring the provision of specific activities in conjunction with external providers and special projects.

The successful candidate will have a good level of education and experience of working with children/young people, preferably those with complex needs/disability. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate flexibility and availability in response to the needs of the service.
