We have an exciting opportunity for an Activity Support Worker to initiate, plan and provide enjoyable and stimulating activities with our children and young people in response to their needs.
Our hospice is a fully equipped child-centred environment set in beautiful spacious grounds. This incredibly fulfilling role will offer the opportunity to work with our children and young people providing enjoyable activities in our large and sunny playroom, a lounge for young adults, an outside playground and large landscaped gardens. Our children love messy play in our mud kitchen as well as peaceful storytime in our fairy garden.
You will be a confident communicator with the ability and passion for providing a purposeful and fun learning environment for all of our children and young people. You will be enthusiastic, resourceful and an energetic member of the team, demonstrating the ability to work flexibly.
You will have knowledge and experience of working with children and young people with health care needs in an educational/play environment.
As our Activity Support Worker you will have excellent organisational skills and will work in collaboration with the in-house and community care teams to provide bespoke and unique activities, taking into consideration the physical, emotional cognitive, social and communication needs of the children and young people, through a programme of well-led activities.
The activities will be built around the needs and wishes of children and young people, which will lead to the growth of new skills, experiences and accomplishments unique to each individual.
We would love to hear from you if you have a positive approach to your work and share our values of providing fair and equitable access to our services for everyone. If you are looking for a worthwhile challenge and a varied job in which your success will make a real difference, click apply today.
