We are looking for an exceptional individual to help us shape the future of children’s paediatric palliative care across the region.

St. Andrew’s Hospice has a new leadership team in place, are open 24/7 and have an ambitious plan to improve our model of day care; would you like to join us?

An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated individual, passionate about palliative care, to join our dedicated and welcoming team. We are seeking an ANP who can autonomously assess, prescribe and evaluate care for children with complex needs.

Working with our supportive medical team, you will be part of a rota delivering care across a 7 day service. You will be a key member of the leadership team, working to constantly improve clinical standards and deliver excellence. You will also contribute to service development and education within the hospice and with external agencies.

The successful candidate will need to hold MSc in Advanced practice or equivalent and be a non-medical prescriber. However, we are willing to consider exceptional candidates without these qualifications and will commit to funding your MSc in these circumstances and working with you to develop your skills. Palliative care experience would be beneficial but not essential as we are committed to developing our staff through our internal training programme, external training, and an exciting range of developmental positions that are being rolled out.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (business insurance) are essential as there are elements of community working within this role.

Working hours are Monday – Friday 9-5 with occasional evening/weekend working according to demands of the service. The post holder would also participate in a telephone on call rota.

In return for your commitment we offer:
A welcoming environment where all staff matter
A competitive salary package which includes a contributory pension scheme
Excellent training and development opportunities
Clinical supervision

You are very welcome to visit us to look around and discuss the roles.
