Jersey Hospice Care are seeking to recruit a Children and Young People Palliative Care Lead Nurse to join our Children and Young People’s Team.

The postholder will have the responsibility for the overall clinical management of the team, providing high quality nursing care to children and young people with life limiting and life threatening conditions across a variety of settings. They will be proactive in the development of the service and ensure that strategic aims are met. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team, they will ensure the holistic needs of children, young people and their families are met.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hold a 1st level Paediatric Registered Nurse qualification (1st Degree/Diploma) with current registration on part one of the NMC register. They will have significant relevant post registration experience working with children and young people who have complex nursing needs and proven experience of managing a team within a palliative care setting. They will be required to work a variable working pattern of 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday and have a flexible approach.
