Would you like to play a key part in raising the profile of seriously ill children so they can get the support they need? Are you looking to develop an exciting and fulfilling career in communications?

About us
Together for Short Lives is the leading charity for UK children’s palliative care. We support everyone who loves and cares for children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions. Too many families struggle to get the lifeline care they need, so we champion and campaign for children’s palliative care services and professionals, to help children get the best support possible.

About you
As Communications Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the External Relations Team, providing strong administrative support to help us deliver our ambitious plans. You will support the delivery of our events and all aspects of our communications work, from drafting compelling copy and marketing materials, and developing social media content, to maintaining our databases and monitoring how well we are doing. You will be an excellent communicator, verbally and in writing with a keen eye for detail. You will be able to manage a diverse workload, be organised and efficient and have energy and enthusiasm for our work.

What we offer
In return for your commitment, we offer a great reward package, which includes generous annual leave entitlement, pension scheme and a staff assistance programme.

We are always looking for talented people and welcome people regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, faith or belief and sexual orientation.
However, we particularly encourage applications from those with disabilities or from black and minority ethnic backgrounds, as these groups are underrepresented throughout the charity sector.

Applying for the role
Closing date for applications is at 9am on Monday 1 February 2021. If you are interested in applying for this post, please complete the application form and the summary details form and email them back to us at recruit@togetherforshortlives.org.uk.
