We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate retail manager in the Lampeter area as one of our Deputy Shop Managers.

Tŷ Hafan offers comfort, care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families in our hospice, in the community and in their home so they can make the most of the time they have left together.

The work we do would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our staff and volunteers.

The Deputy Shop Manager will assist the Shop Manager in the day to day running of the store, manage and co-ordinate the retail activities of the store and achieve sales margin growth and profitability targets whilst maintaining high store standards.

Key Tasks

• Responsible for supporting the Shop Manager with the day to day management of the shop which includes sourcing, pricing and merchandising.

• Work with the Shop Manager to review of income and contribution levels to maximise the financial return from trading and campaigns in store

• Work with the Shop Manager to ensure a clean, strong window and shop floor displays that are updated weekly in order to engage with our customers

• Empower and supervise volunteers to deliver and maintain exceptional retail standards through ongoing training and development

• Deliver required administration, reporting and analysis.

• Manage and minimise risks to meet all safeguards in relation to financial procedures, health & safety and child safeguarding

• Build and maintain a loyal customer base

• Collaborate in cross selling initiatives and support local Tŷ Hafan fundraising initiatives where possible.

• Any other duties appropriate with the band and level of responsibility of this role for which the job holder has the necessary experience and/or training to complete.

• Share knowledge and skills with colleagues and provide training to colleagues when required.
