Estates Volunteer, Helen & Douglas House

Helen House has only a small Estates team to maintain the buildings and general fabric of the Hospice. We are looking for volunteers with DIY experience to volunteer alongside the team within the hospice.

Responsibilities:

Support Estates Maintenance Team with Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks
Assist in assembling furniture and putting up shelves
Help with Painting and decorating in communal areas and children’s rooms
Provide a prompt and friendly ‘porter’ service (as required) for staff and families
General maintenance of the HDH vehicles
Specialist help if appropriate plumbing / electrics.
Gardening and Landscaping
Time Commitment:

Half day: 3 hours or a whole day: 6 hours. Preferably on a regular basis.

Flexible working hours to suit.
