Do you have a background in events coordination with experience in external communications or creative design? Are you seeking an opportunity to coordinate meaningful events with positive outcomes for children, young people and families? If so, this could be the ideal role for you.

The Family Support Team is situated within Demelza’s wider Clinical Services Department and consists of three sub teams; Family Events, Therapies and Bereavement and Family Liaison. We are now working with more families than ever via digital platforms, currently offering a variety of online and remote events. Recent examples include coordination of virtual parties and a remote Snowdrop Remembrance Event for bereaved families.

You will have excellent IT skills, be confident in working within a digital workplace and be a highly organised, self-motivated individual. With proven experience and a portfolio of successful past events, you will provide dedicated support across the full breadth of family events and activities, for both the Family Support Team and wider Clinical Services Department. Responsible for event data and creating promotional and marketing plans, your focus will always be on children, young people and families.

As an excellent communicator, you will be required to regularly engage with families via various digital platforms and ensure all event materials (online and published) communicate consistent messages, meet Demelza’s brand guidelines, and are written using the appropriate tone and voice.

Reporting to the Family Events Lead and working closely across Family Support and Clinical Services departments, you will be part of a friendly, committed and supportive team. The successful candidate will receive regular support, supervision and will have the opportunity to play a key role in service development.

Working hours are flexible, with occasional early evening and weekend work required. Please note this role may involve working remotely for a temporary period due to COVID-19.

Apply now to join #TeamDemelza and be part of our passion and dedication to be there when we are needed the most.
