Family Events Coordinator
Demelza provides specialist care and emotional support for children and young people with terminal conditions and their loved ones, across Kent, East Sussex and South East London.
We help with every element of life for a child or young person with a terminal condition by providing tailored care. From diagnosis through to end of life and bereavement services, we’re there for that journey.
We are looking for an experienced and driven Coordinator to plan and organise Family Liaison, Bereavement and Creative Therapies programmes and family social events, working closely with the Family Events Lead. These events could include small sailing trips, running a large family beach day or organising Santa’s grotto. Support programmes include organising the Summer Therapeutic programme, Siblings Wellbeing Group and themed Sensory activity bags for service users.
You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with external partners. You will be able to work within organisation branding guidelines to create posters, invitations, brochures and leaflets to communicate with families.
We offer a supportive working environment and the opportunity to work with some of the most passionate ‘can do’ people in the charity world. A valid driving licence is essential as there will be travel across the Demelza region, as well as some evening and weekend working.
