It is a really exciting time at Together for Short Lives. Our strategic plan sets out how we will achieve our vision for children and young people in the UK with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families to have as fulfilling lives as possible and the best care at the end of life.
We are recruiting a Fundraising Events Officer to the Fundraising team. This role, which is a fixed term contract until March 2019, will help us to achieve this vision by delivering a diverse annual calendar of events. You will market and deliver a wide range of challenge, sporting, corporate and DYOT events, attracting new supporters and providing exceptional donor care.
49,000 children and young people are living in the UK with health conditions that are life-shortening or life-threatening – and the number is rising. Together for Short Lives is the leading UK charity that speaks out for all children and young people who are expected to have short lives. Together with everyone who provides care and support to these children and their families, we are here to help them have as fulfilling lives as possible and the very best care at the end of life. We can’t change the diagnosis, but we can help children and families make the most of their time together.
This is an essential role within the charity and would suit an organised, pro-active and reliable organiser, with great attention to detail and a positive attitude.
This is a great opportunity to join a small but dynamic team in the Fundraising department of Together for Short Lives core work and local children’s hospice services.
