Together for Short Lives is the national charity that is here to make sure the UK’s 99,000 seriously ill children and their families can make the most of every moment they have together – whether that’s for years, months or only hours.

Our brand is starting on a new journey that has huge potential in terms of reaching the growing numbers of families caring for a seriously ill child. This is an exciting opportunity for a brand champion to join a determined and passionate team with a bold ambition to make sure that every family caring for seriously ill children in the UK does not have to struggle through their child’s short life alone, and instead can treasure every moment together.

Together for Short Lives is seeking an experienced brand professional, leader and passionate storyteller to join the charity as Head of Brand and PR. The successful candidate will lead brand and media strategy and play a major role in elevating the charity’s brand presence through compelling awareness and fundraising campaigns.

You will be responsible for building a strong brand through all our channels, touchpoints and campaigns and provide expert support and leadership to make sure everything we do is a great reflection of our brand. You will have strong leadership experience to manage a small brand team, and to effectively build our brand strategy, developing brand assets, visual identity, tone of voice and consistent messaging in line with the charity’s changing strategy. You will be skilled at crafting and targeting messaging and content to a very complex range of audiences across all channels, ensuring our campaigns are engaging and audience focused. You will play an active part in the creation of marketing and communications strategies to enable the cultivation and enhancement of strong and meaningful relationships with our target audience, external partners and key media outlets.
