We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager promoting our amazing children’s hospice charity.

This is a new role within our small and friendly marketing team responsible for promoting this amazing children’s hospice charity to selected fundraising and supporter audiences. We are looking for a creative storyteller with great copywriting skills to work cross functionally across the organisation and also with families, volunteers and supporters to create compelling marketing content to promote our charity to selected audiences.

You will be responsible for:

Creating emotional and compelling content from hospice volunteers, patients and family stories.
Liaising sensitively and diplomatically with staff, volunteers and families and manage information in line with regulations and guidelines.
Working with internal teams and stakeholders, as the copywriting specialist to manage marketing content for supporter audiences.
Planning, creating, publishing and evaluating Helen & Douglas House communications content for supporters, families and volunteers in line with the agreed communications calendar and the supporter journey.
Producing fundraising communication materials from creative brief by internal stakeholders to completion ensuring the Helen & Douglas House brand is represented in line with guidelines and meets the objectives set by the brief.

You will need:

Creative copywriting and storytelling expertise
Brand management or marketing communication experience
Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise sensitively and diplomatically with hospice staff and patients.
A creative approach to producing compelling creating marketing content in line with brand guidelines including working with agencies and working with production schedules.
Experience and skills to plan, create, publish and evaluate marketing content to meet specific communication objectives.

The Charity

Helen & Douglas House, based in Oxford, is the world’s first children’s hospice. We care for terminally ill children and their families at our hospice and at home from Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties. It is a special place that feels like home, where families can make the most of their time together and create happy memories during their children’s short lives. As a charity we rely almost entirely on voluntary donations to support our work.
