Julia’s House is rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission and is a Sunday Times Top 100 Best Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work For.
Every moment counts. Every memory matters.
We support more than 140 families across Dorset and Wiltshire, in the community, at our hospices and in families’ own homes. Our nurses get the chance to spend time with children and their families, and really get to know them. We need your expertise to provide specialist care and create wonderful memories.
We have positions in both Dorset (based in Wimborne) and Wiltshire (based in Devizes) – working in our hospices and in the community. You will lead a team of nurses and carers.
Both positions require RSCN/RN (Child Branch) – diploma or degree.
These positions are 35 hours per week, however part-time will be considered – with a minimum of 25 hours per week. A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes are essential.
Your duties will include:-
– Assessing care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care to meet individual client needs, in conjunction with Lead Nurses.
– Day-to-day management of the client base, including the deployment, supervision and teaching of Nurses, Bank Nurses and Care Team Members.
– To be part of the on-call rota providing telephone support for care staff during booked respite sits.
– Take a proactive role in the education and development of staff.
Relocation packages may be available.
Members of the NHS Pension Scheme may retain membership on joining Julia’s House.
We offer 30 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
Please come and talk to us about working for Julia’s House and arrange a visit to either our Devizes (Wiltshire) or Corfe Mullen (Dorset) hospice. We would love to hear from you.
