The role of Practice Development Nurse is in place to support the clinical development of nurses.
Rennie Grove is working in collaboration with the Peace Hospice for this role, and you will be based at Rennie House, Tring, working across the Rennie Grove Bucks / Herts catchment area.
As a Practice Development Nurse, you will promote staff development through supervision, mentorship, education and clinical practice. This will involve providing training, guidance and information across all aspects of clinical nursing, supporting mentors and contributing to induction courses, including new nurse development within our preceptorship programme. You will work collaboratively with other service providers to deliver external training programmes and specifically with Peace Hospice. You will therefore need to demonstrate your abilities in the following areas:
First level registered Nurse
Palliative care or relevant experience
Mentoring and developing staff in the clinical field Developing successful training and delivering training to staff Organisation and decision making IT, communication and presentation Ability to work autonomously and as an effective member of a team We can also offer development, flexible working, opportunities to volunteer and 27 days’ holiday per year plus bank holidays (pro rata).
A car and current UK driving licence are essential and the position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
