Our practice development nurses play a key role in the development and implementation of the Clinical Governance strategy for Demelza Hospice Care for Children. They are instrumental in the delivery of high-quality care by working alongside colleagues to ensure clinical governance is embedded into practice.
This role is based in East Sussex office, supporting our community care service, with expectation to travel to Kent and SE London to support staff as service needs require. Full driving licence and access to own vehicle for business use – or access to reliable transport arrangements – will be essential.
The successful applicant will work regularly in the children’s homes in order to identify practise issues and provide relevant education and training where needed.
Facilitating clinical supervision, delivering and facilitating training and supporting the attainment and maintenance of care competencies are integral to the post.
Developing and renewing policies and procedures that relate to Clinical Governance, supporting audit activity and managing risk, delivering education training and mentoring activities in response to clinical incident reporting will be expectations of the post holder.
