An exciting new permanent opportunity has arisen within our Care Services team for a Deputy Lead Nurse working as part of the Tŷ Hafan Care leadership team, at our wonderful children’s Hospice based in Sully, Vale of Glamorgan.
What will I be doing?
You will be working closely with our lead nurses to provide high quality leadership of the hospice-based care team. You will be responsible for taking charge of shifts; deploying resources to ensure the continuous delivery of safe and effective palliative care and support for children and young people, and their families; and making timely and effective clinical decisions.
This is an extremely rewarding role and includes direct work with our families, colleagues across care services including with community and hospital-based teams and with wider facilities team. The role also includes working with external stakeholders when taking charge of a span of duty and managing telephone calls from incoming enquiries for help and support.
You will have a values-focused approach in being caring, collaborative and professional.
Full flexibility will be required for this role covering Monday – Sunday including unsociable hours and bank holidays.
