Full Time, Temporary (up to 12 months)

We have an exciting opportunity for Senior Nursing Support Workers to join the Rachel House nursing team in Kinross.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside a highly motivated and skilled team and to be part of an organisation where everyone is passionate about the work we do.

Role responsibilities

•Assist in the provision of a high standard of palliative nursing care through implementing care programmes.

•Make precious memories through play, arts and crafts and outdoor activities.

•Assist in providing nursing care at end of life and bereavement support.

•With the support of the nursing staff, provide emotional and practical support to the child and their family, ensuring contact is maintained between visits and that the wishes of the family are delivered.

•Support CHAS in the development of the service with the view of achieving the organisational goals and objectives in the CHAS Strategic Plan.

Qualifications and Experience

In order to support our nursing staff in providing a high standard of care, and to help CHAS achieve its objectives, you will have:

•SVQ level 3 / HNC in Health, Social or Child Care or evidence of equivalent experience.

•Experience of working with children and young people with complex care needs.

•Evidence of commitment to professional development.

The following would also be desirable:

•Educated to HND level.

•Experience of supporting others who have been bereaved.
