At Forget Me Not, we don’t just care for children with life-shortening conditions, we support their brothers and sisters too.
Brothers and sisters who might be struggling to come to terms with the prospect of losing, or with the loss of, their sibling. They might be missing out on things other children take for granted and their emotional wellbeing and development might be negatively affected.
Working as part of our uniquely-multidisciplinary family support team, you’ll create opportunities for siblings to have fun and engage with other children and support them to explore their emotions. You’ll also be the first port of call for bereaved siblings.
With experience of working with children as well as experience in palliative care and working with bereaved parents, you’ll also have an understanding of the value of therapeutic play as a way to interact with children.
If you’re well-organised, creative and enthusiastic about finding new, fun and inventive ways to support siblings to make the most of every moment, then we want to hear from you!
Please note this is a 22.5 hour post. Your hours can be worked flexibly across the week but you must be able to work a Wednesday.
