Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is an award-winning, growing charity, and our people matter enormously. We provide a community-based hospice service providing care and support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families in North and Central London, and Hertsmere.

Our mission is to ensure that families are able to live life as fully as possible whilst their child is still alive and go on to face the future with hope after bereavement.

This is a hugely exciting time to be joining Noah’s Ark as we are expanding our existing Hospice-at-Home service and in the final completion stage of constructing The Ark, a children’s hospice building for North and Central London.

We are seeking a Social Care Trustee with the skills and experience needed to take Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice forward as it moves towards developing end of life and step-down care as well as emergency residential support in its new building while maintaining and improving its highly valued home support service. You will have skills which complement those of the current Care Trustees – a retired Paediatrician and a retired Social Worker

You will be a professional with experience of operating at a senior strategic level and have relevant qualification in Health or Social Care.

Most importantly you will have a wealth of experience and knowledge of health/social care governance, children’s palliative care sector and have the vision to determine the necessary direction of the charity in response to external pressures and organisational priorities (e.g. workforce and service re-configuration and variable funding streams).

We would like to hear from individuals that can add new experiences and perspectives to our existing Board and enhance the current diversity of our work.

It is essential that you are able and willing to commit time and effort to attend Board meetings and sub committees and to make skills and experience available to senior staff between meetings.
