Are you an experienced social worker with knowledge and passion for supporting children with complex health needs and life limiting conditions? Are you looking for an opportunity to really make a difference to families and vulnerable children? If so you may be the person we are looking for to become part of our amazing team at Helen & Douglas House.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a confident Social Worker to provide direct emotional and psychosocial support to families using Helen & Douglas House and to bereaved parents, siblings and carers from the time of their loss. The Community and Support Service works alongside the care team to deliver integrated, well-communicated care to families’ pre and post bereavement.

The new post holder would be a key member of the organisational Safeguarding Team.

Helen & Douglas House, based in Oxford, is the world’s first children’s hospice. We care for life limited children and their families at our hospice and at home. It is a special place where families can make the most of their time together and create happy memories during their children’s short lives. As a charity we rely almost entirely on voluntary donations to support our work.
