At Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, we do things differently. Our pioneering and nurse-led service is built around the children and families we support, and is rated ‘outstanding’ by the CQC.

Unlike so many other healthcare environments, we are in the privileged position of having the time to deliver holistic care to children and families, throughout the palliative care journey. Not only that but we provide comprehensive induction and ongoing training, as well as resilience support and one-to-one supervision.

Here’s what one of our nurses said about working at Forget Me Not: “I remember, soon after I joined, talking to a family in our snowflake suite (a private apartment for families whose child has just died). I spent over two hours with them, just talking, listening and supporting them at the most difficult time of their life. No one came looking for me, no one interrupted that conversation, no one told me to move on to something else. I had the time – so precious to that family – to spend with them, something that made a huge difference to them. That was the moment I knew I was in the right place.”

Time is precious. For the families we care for, every minute counts. So having the time to care, to really be with each family means everything – to them, and to our team. If you like the idea of having more time to focus on a family, giving them the support they need, when they need it – then this could be the right place for you too.

You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary, fully integrated team providing respite, palliative and bereavement care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families, at the hospice, in hospitals and in families’ own homes.

So if you’re a registered nurse with experience of delivering care to children and families or adults with a learning disability, are passionate about delivering an exceptional level of care, not just to the child but to their whole family, and if you’re excited by the chance to work in a pioneering team that’s not afraid to try new things, then we want to hear from you!
