Claire House Children’s Hospice offers care, support and choice to families whose children won’t live to be adults. At Claire House, we focus on not what we do, but why we do it. Our nurses take over for a couple of days so mum and dad can be parents, as opposed to carers 24.7.

The Family Support Team at Claire House offers counselling/bereavement support to all families accessing the hospice. This support is also offered to families not known to Claire House but who wish to use the facilities following the death of their child.

Volunteer Counsellors assist the Family Support Team in providing a support service to children/young people and their families accessing the hospice.

The post holder must hold and maintain membership of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP, or equivalent) and abide by the professional association’s Ethical Framework.
