Alesha Dixon takes to the trading floor to raise vital funds to support families after the death of their child

News and comment

On Friday (10 September) we were thrilled to take to the trading floor at BGC in London for their amazing charity day, in memory of the colleagues that they lost in New York on 9/11.

The charity day sees brokerage firm BGC welcome a whole host of charities and their ambassadors onto their trading floor in London and around the world to raise money for lots of good causes.

This year, many ambassadors also joined the day virtually, via video link and Zoom.

Alesha Dixon joined team Together for Short Lives at the charity day. She chatted to staff, and did some all-important deals with brokers all around the world.

Our Patrons Holly Willoughby and Mason Mount also joined in on the day by sending two very personal video messages which they posted to their social media channels on the day.

This year, the money raised will go towards our Butterfly Fund. A special financial grant for parents following the death of their child. This grant can be spent however they choose but is often spent on special memorials to remember the child they have lost. Read Violet’s story here.

We are extremely grateful to BGC and all of their staff for an unforgettable day. Thanks also to Alesha, Holly and Mason for their amazing support.
