Dr Anton Mayer

Anton is a consultant in paediatric intensive care at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and leads its palliative care service. He has a long-standing interest in integrating paediatric palliative care with intensive care and has helped develop pathways for ventilator withdrawal outside intensive care.

As vice-chair of the Association for Paediatric Palliative Medicine and former medical director at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, Anton brings a wealth of clinically relevant experience to our Advisory Council.
