Financial support and grants
If you are facing financial pressure as a result of caring for a seriously ill child we may be able to help you get some direct financial assistance from charities or grant schemes.
Sometimes we are able to offer families a Cost of Living support grant. The team will be able to discuss possible support available to you and connect you to other charities that can help you fund equipment and other costs.
In particular we work as referral agents for Evie’s Gift, who give give grants to parents to whose child has been unexpectedly admitted to hospital with a life threatening or life limiting condition.
We also work with the charity Turn2Us, which offers special financial grants to families on a low-income if they have had a life-changing event within the last year. The grants can be used to help you pay for items needed to maintain normal daily living. For example flooring, moving costs, and shelves for medications.
And for families whose child has recently died our Butterfly Fund is available to make one off grants to help support families going through bereavement and grief.
Our Energy Adviser can also speak to you about how you could be saving money on your energy bills. Book a 1-1 appointment today.
