Children’s Hospice Week 2025

Children’s Hospice Week is the UK’s annual awareness week for children’s hospices and palliative care services. This year, Children’s Hospice Week will take place 16 – 22 June.

Why we celebrate Children’s Hospice Week

Children’s hospices are amazing. But what would life be like without them? At the moment, there simply isn’t enough money or staff to provide all the lifeline care seriously ill children need during their short lives.

Each year in June, we unite the children’s palliative care sector to:

  • Increase awareness of the incredible work that children’s hospices do
  • Improve understanding about children’s palliative care
  • Raise much needed funds for children’s hospices across the UK

How to get involved

There are so many ways to celebrate Children’s Hospice Week. However you mark the occasion, you’ll be helping seriously ill children make the most of every moment by giving children’s hospices the support they need.

Support Spin for the Stars

Children’s nurse, Francesca Lennon, is getting back on her bike for another epic fundraising challenge. Spin for the stars is a 24-hour pedal challenge in honour of the 24-hour care that children’s hospices provide for families across the UK, day in and day out.

Francesca will pedal around-the-clock on the first day of Children’s Hospice Week. She’ll be joined by the families of seriously ill children and a whole host of fundraising superstars, who will take turns to keep the wheels of several stationary bikes turning for a full 24 hours.

A truly tiring and inspirational challenge, to reflect the tireless care provided by hospices for seriously ill children, and their families.

Children’s Hospices are amazing

Children’s hospices are a lifeline for seriously ill children, young people and their families. These incredible places provide a multitude of services that help children with life-limiting conditions make the most of every moment.

From physiotherapy to music therapy, 24 hour telephone support to short break care, children’s hospices are there for families, every step of the way.
