Children and Young People with Cancer Coalition launches

News and comment

Together for Short Lives is one of 16 organisations that have joined together to form the first ever Children and Young People with Cancer Coalition.

The Children and Young People with Cancer Coalition (CYCC) is a chief executive-led charity coalition. It aims to make things better for children and young people with cancer through speaking up on issues that matter to them, having a unified voice and supporting each other as charities and chief executives.

The CYCC launched today (Thursday 31 May) with a letter to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care setting out where we think progress has been made for children and young people and the areas where progress still needs to be made. It asks the Secretary of State for a meeting to discuss how progress will be made on issues such as increasing access to clinical trials, improving experiences of diagnosis and improving access to mental health support for young people with cancer and their families.

Our fellow coalition members are:

  • Anthony Nolan
