Dr Christine Mott

Christine is a Consultant in Paediatric Palliative Medicine working for Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Trust, and as the Medical Director for Acorns Children’s Hospices. She is a member of our Advisory Council.

Christine moved from Australia in 2021 to work in the UK and is passionate about the delivery of high-quality palliative care that can positively impact the journey of families. She has a special interest in perinatal palliative care and after death care.

She is an incoming co-chair of the Association for Paediatric Palliative Medicine, and the Chair for their Children’s Hospice Medical Lead group. She was previously the president of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Palliative Medicine, so has seen how Paediatric and Adult palliative services can work together for common goals and the benefits a multidisciplinary hospice team can bring.
