Kentown Reconsent

We’re asking for your consent to share your data with the new charitable organisation that’s now coordinating the integrated care and support provided through the Kentown project.

Our Kentown Family Service Coordinators work as part of a small network of organisations providing holistic support to families. Until recently, Together for Short Lives has provided coordination for this network, but we’re pleased to announce a new charity called Kentown Support has been set up to take over this function. Kentown Support will act as the hub for coordinating between the different services, helping to achieve our aim of a joined-up service that can respond in a holistic way to families’ needs.

Kentown Support will manage data centrally to carry out that task, including assessing families’ needs, referrals to the different service providers within the network, contacting families directly, monitoring service delivery, and assessing the effectiveness of the programme. Kentown Support will be the starting point for all new families referred into the service.

We are asking families for their consent to share their data with Kentown Support. The data will include your personal information, contact details, and records of the contact you have made with us and the support we have provided dating back to 1st September 2025. This sharing of data will support the objectives outlined above, making it easier for Kentown Support to assess your needs and allocate services if your needs change. It will also allow them to perform continuous evaluation of the service from the beginning of that period.

Providing this consent is not a requirement, and whether you choose to provide it will not affect the support you receive from us. We ask for your consent to share your data so that our group of organisations can more easily coordinate between ourselves administratively. The aim is to process all records of existing families in the same way as all the records of families who join from now on.

Regardless, we will continue to process the data you have shared with us under the terms of your original consent and in line with our privacy notice. Any data shared with Kentown Support will be done only with your explicit consent and in compliance with our privacy notice and the requirements of the law.
