Please ask your MP to attend vital Westminster event

Right now, 99,000 children and young people in the UK are living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Yet their access to palliative care remains a postcode lottery – leaving too many families without the vital support they need.

With the government’s 10-Year Health Plan now published, a long-term workforce strategy forthcoming, and the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) exploring ways to enhance access, quality, and sustainability of palliative and end of life care for all ages, this is a pivotal moment for the government to take action and ensure the plan delivers for seriously ill children and their families.

Ask your MP to attend a key parliamentary event

On Tuesday 18 November 2025, the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Children Who Need Palliative Care is holding a drop-in event and roundtable meeting in Westminster.

We need your help to ensure MPs hear directly about the challenges faced by seriously ill children and their families, and the actions that are needed.

  • Date: Tuesday 18 November 2025
  • Location: Room S, Portcullis House
  • Drop-in event: From 10am
  • Roundtable meeting: 2pm-3pm

At this event, Together for Short Lives will share insights into the current state of children’s palliative care and the actions needed to end the postcode lottery.

MPs will also have the opportunity to hear directly from a parent with lived experience, meet children’s palliative care providers and find out how they can help in parliament.

How you can help
