Research repository
Together for Short Lives is delighted that we can work with partner libraries, both from the UK and internationally from Canada, to provide an up to date repository of published literature in children’s palliative care.
The EACH Library Service
The EACH library service has produced a bulletin focusing on medical complexity. The aim of the bulletin is to capture research and publications related to children with complex medical needs, severe disabilities and rare conditions, complementing other publications where the focus is more on children’s palliative and end of life care. Download the latest EACH Library Service bulletin.

Trends in Pediatric Palliative Care Research
Trends in Pediatric Palliative Care Research (TPPCR) is an email newsletter distributed by a research team led by Dr Hal Siden on the west coast of Canada which delivers current and relevant publications on paediatric palliative care direct to your inbox. The newsletter contains a list of citations pulled from a carefully crafted search strategy featuring the most current and relevant literature in paediatric palliative care research.
The newsletter gives a glimpse into the trends of a small, but growing area of research and includes a commentary on a chosen publication by an expert in the field. TPPCR comes out once a month and is read by clinicians, researchers, students and anyone interested in the field of paediatric palliative health care. You can subscribe to receive the email here.

Research Group – Together for Short Lives and Association Paediatric Palliative Medicine
To further help foster academic research, Together for Short Lives and the APPM (Association of Paediatric Palliative Medicine) run a multi-disciplinary joint Research Group to help to develop a culture of research and build research capacity across the children’s palliative care sector. The group is a valuable resource for all those engaging in practice and research of children’s and young people’s palliative care.
The group is chaired by Dr Emily Harrop and Dr Helena Dunbar and meets virtually three times a year.
