If we have been left a specific gift
We understand that our supporters wish to donate in different ways and that everyone’s situation is different. To ensure we can make the best use of every gift please contact us if a specific gift has been made in a Will and before taking action such as transferring or selling any property or shares.
Unlike other charities, we don’t have a chain of shops where we can sell items that have been left to Together for Short Lives so we cannot collect items. We may work with selected partners and professionals to sell items of special interest or value we have been left. In these cases we may be able to make special arrangements for collection.
Charity details for adding Together for Short Lives to a Will
If you’re a solicitor and have been asked to include a gift to the Together for Short lives in a Will, the following wording will be helpful:

Wills referencing old addresses, Children’s Hospice UK or ACT
On 1 October 2011 Children’s Hospices UK (previously known as The Association of Children’s Hospices), registered charity number 1103795, merged with ACT (Association for Children’s Palliative Care), registered charity number 1075541, and all the activities and assets of both were transferred to the new charity, Together for Short Lives. Some Wills may state these previous charity names or use an old address. Gifts left in these wills are still valid but please contact us using the details provided so we can assist you.
