Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire, providing specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about helping to develop play and activities for children and young people at Chestnut Tree House.
Your duties will include:
- creating and providing opportunities for children and young people to experience play, social interaction and learning
- supporting and guiding play and activity volunteers
- responsibility for planning, implementing and evaluating all activities.
The successful candidate will have a good level of education and experience of working with children/young people, preferably those with complex needs/disability. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate flexibility and availability in response to the needs of the service.
Due to the remote location and lack of public transport, access to your own transport is essential.
