Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant

This role will suit an experienced therapy assistant or instructor who possesses relevant theoretical knowledge and practical training. The successful applicant will predominately work alongside the inpatient care team at Helen House in Cowley.
As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will report into the Physiotherapist, and will be supported in providing guidance and interventions for children and young people staying at Helen & Douglas House. You will participate in research and evidence-based practices to help audit, develop and improve the physiotherapy offer at the charity. You will also support the Care Team with the safe use of equipment, such as wheelchairs or mobility aids, providing training where necessary.
Our Care Team consists of talented individuals who share the passion of improving the lives of seriously unwell children and their families through prevention and relief of suffering by means of impeccable assessment and treatment of pain and other problems, physical, psychological, and spiritual. In 2023 Helen & Douglas House were awarded the Outstanding CQC rating, evidencing world-class clinical services and research that is provided by our charity.
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours per week, however, we are open to discussions about flexible working for a minimum of 4 days per week.
Helen & Douglas House is a registered hospice charity based in Oxford, providing palliative, respite, end-of-life and bereavement care to life-limited children and their families.
