Francis House Children’s Hospice is recruiting for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Company Secretary to lead us into the next phase of our journey.

Francis House Children’s Hospice is a centre of excellence providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care services to the families of children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions from across the north west of England.

Our aim is to meet the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of the children and young people and their families and improve their quality of life by providing support that is holistic and personalised.

We pride ourselves on caring for the whole family and supporting young people for the remainder of their short lives. From our site in Didsbury, Manchester, we provide respite accommodation for the whole family in Francis House and an age-appropriate facility for teenagers and young adults in Francis Lodge.

Established in in 1990, the Hospice has an international reputation for excellence and provides advice and experience to help with the establishment of hospices all around the world, including Bosnia-Herzegovina, Japan, Belarus and the Czech Republic.

A multi-disciplinary team supports more than 600 families with respite care, day care, homecare, sibling support, parental support, end of life care and symptom control, and emotional and bereavement support.

The care provided by Francis House is additional to that provided by the National Health Service and is not part of any statutory provision. To deliver our care, Francis House relies on the generosity of the many people who have contributed over the years to help support thousands of special families and young people.

We are recruiting for a new CEO following the announcement of the retirement David Ireland our current Chief Executive.
