ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a strategic and inspiring individual to join our leadership team. It is an exciting time to be joining the organisation as St Barnabas Hospices and Martlets Hospice have just announced a merger of organisations. At a time when we are working in partnership to improve access to high quality palliative and end of life care for our populations this role will provide crucial leadership both internally and externally.
The Chief of Nursing & Care is a key post in ensuring the delivery of outstanding patient care across all clinical services provided by St Barnabas House, Chestnut Tree House and Martlets.
The post holder will provide professional and strategic leadership for the nursing and allied health professional workforce, promoting excellence in nursing care, the highest standards of clinical practice and innovation; as well as developing a culture of continual practice development that is supported by education, training, appraisal, clinical supervision, research, audit and the broader quality agenda.
The post holder will take leadership team responsibility for clinical quality and governance for the Hospices, ensuring the delivery of services that are high quality, safe, effective, responsive, caring, and well-led.
Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the Group Leadership Team, the post holder will contribute to the hospices’ strategic agenda by providing strong visible clinical leadership whilst demonstrating care, kindness, compassion and respect for patients, carers and staff
A key responsibility will be to ensure strategic links and productive relationships between the hospices, key regulatory bodies that monitor our care, and other healthcare partners and providers.
