Children’s Clinical Nurse Specialist
Keech Hospice Care are seeking a Children’s Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Palliative Care Team.
As a Children’s Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will become part of a close knit team dedicated to delivering advanced symptom management and holistic care to our children, young people and families across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes. You’ll be offering compassion, expertise, and support every step of the way.
- Provide advanced level symptom management within specialist palliative care nursing to children, young people, and their families
- Champion the holistic wellbeing of our children and families, advocating for their needs and ensuring that they are supported
- Manage your own work whilst offering expert advice to families navigating the complexities of palliative care
- Provide clinical leadership for the Keech Children’s service, patients, families, and external multi-professional teams
- Deliver learning and development to enhance knowledge, skills, and confidence across services
Essential:
- NMC Registered Children’s Nurse
- Extensive experience in children’s palliative care
- Experience in symptom management, pain control in End of Life Care
- Have an adaptable approach to a changing work environment
- Be a non-medical prescriber or willingness to achieve
Desirable:
- Experience in clinical leadership, mentorship, and service development
- Willingness to learn new skills within Palliative care
- A strong communicator with great interpersonal skills
