We are very keen to hear from candidates who may want to perform this role as part of an overall portfolio, whilst continuing with your work in e.g. Paediatrics, Adult Palliative Medicine or General Practice.

About You

You will be committed to working with children who have complex medical care needs, and their families, proven through your experience of Paediatrics, Palliative Medicine or General Practice. You will value working as part of a multidisciplinary team, whilst having the knowledge and confidence to also work independently as required.

CHAS does not hold clinical responsibility for children who are not resident at a CHAS hospice. However, increasingly families are being offered choices of place of care at end of life and CHAS may be part of the multi-agency team around children and their families. You will have the opportunity to be part of that collaborative team around the child approach.

About CHAS

We provide a stimulating, friendly, intimate workplace where you will be a lot more than “just a number”. As a Children’s Hospice Doctor, you will be joining a team that delivers high-quality clinical care to babies, children and young people who have complex health conditions, alongside the heartbreaking reality of a terminal diagnosis.
At CHAS, we promote a healthy work/life balance with 35 days annual leave, increasing to 40 days after five years’ service (pro rata). We also offer access to a CHAS or NHS pension scheme and superb training opportunities. Also, a negotiable relocation package may be offered to support candidates meet the financial demands of relocating for employment with CHAS.
