We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CYP Long Term Ventilation & Respiratory Care) to lead and deliver expert, evidence-based care for babies, children, and young people (BCYP) with complex respiratory and LTV needs. This is a unique opportunity to work across hospice and home settings, supporting families and developing the skills of our care teams.

Clinical Nurse Specialist – Long term ventilation

Location: Working across all 3 EACH Hospices (Please specify preferred hospice base location, when applying)

Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week (part time candidates considered, minimum 30 hours per week)

Please note that shifts include weekend working, and possibly some nights with flexibility to meet the service needs required.

*A current full, valid driving license and use of own car is essential for this role*

Permanent Contract

Salary: £47,810 – £54,710 pro rata per annum, experience dependent
EACH Care Band: 7

Do you have:
•Experience of caring for children with respiratory disease and experience in caring for children and young people who require LTV support?
• High level of paediatric palliative care knowledge and experience?
• A passion to provide high quality evidence based care?
Responsibilities include:
Deliver highly specialised, family-centred nursing care for BCYP with respiratory and LTV needs.
• Act as an expert resource and advocate for families, supporting safe care planning and hospital discharge.
• Lead and support clinical teaching, competency development, and service improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional respiratory teams and contribute to seamless transition planning to adult services.
• Be a visible clinical leader, providing mentorship and situational learning across EACH locations.

What We’re Looking For:
• Registered Nurse with a professional qualification in children’s nursing.
• Extensive experience and specialist knowledge in paediatric respiratory and LTV care.
• Strong teaching, mentorship, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously, travel across the region, and manage complex clinical responsibilities.
