Charlie House supports babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families, across the north-east of Scotland. The goal is simple – to help children to live as full lives as possible and help make precious memories for the whole family at the most difficult of times.

We have an exciting opportunity within the Fundraising and Marcomms team at Charlie House, for an enthusiastic, organised, self-starter to join us as Corporate Fundraiser. This post will play a key role in helping Charlie House raise vital income so that local children and families can get the support they need and driving forward our Big Build Appeal to create a specialist care centre in Aberdeen for children, providing much needed respite, palliative and end-of-life care in the region.

Location: Charlie House Office, Aberdeen

Role purpose:

Reporting to the Corporate Fundraising Manager, the post-holder will have responsibility for proactively engaging and securing new partnerships with SME’s and organisations to raise income for Charlie House and providing a high level of account management and stewardship to the existing Charlie House corporate partners to support in maximising fundraised income and delivering agreed fundraising targets.

Main Duties

• Identify, engage, and secure corporate partnerships and financial support for Charlie House
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business prospects
• Develop and deliver powerful partnership ideas, pitches and tailored proposals
• Provide a high level of account management through planned engagement, stewardship, and effective and regular communications
• Ensure each corporate partner is appropriately supported and reaches its full potential, through sponsorship, staff-led fundraising, event participation, and donations.
• To be the main contact for relationships with existing and potential corporate partners
• Manage current relationships with Charlie House corporate supporters
• Support on the development and management of new corporate partners, as assigned by the Corporate Fundraising Manager
• Attend networking meetings
• Present to potential and existing corporate partners for support
• Attend cheque presentations / ceremonies when required for corporate donations

We are looking for someone who has experience in relationship building and has the energy and drive to connect the corporate community with Charlie House and help local children live life to the full. Job Type: Full time – 37.5 hours per week, over 5 five days or Part time – 30 hours per week, over 4 days
