A unique opportunity has arisen to lead, manage and develop services for children and families in one of the leading providers of children’s hospice at home services.
Jessie May provides services to children with life limiting conditions in their own homes and communities including regular respite care, emotional support and care at the end of life. We also offer much needed bereavement support for up to five years.
Jessie May is an independent charity established in 1996, providing a children’s hospice at home service based in Bristol and serving families across Bath, Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. We currently support 140 children and 50 bereaved families.
The Director of Care and all of the Nursing and care staff are employed by University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust but work for Jessie May. The post holder will lead this team of qualified children’s nurses supplemented with a number of nursery nurses and carers.
Partnership working is key and we work closely with other providers in the NHS, social care and voluntary sector for the benefit of the children and families who need our support.
