Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex and South East Hampshire, providing specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.
We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Family Support Worker to this exciting new post. The role involves supporting the social work team by progressing family action plans and providing practical and emotional support to the children, young people and families who access Chestnut Tree House Hospice.

The role will involve making a difference to families by helping to research information/ services and signposting and referring families on where appropriate. The Family Support Worker will join the well-established Child and Family Support team, working closely with the rest of the clinical teams at Chestnut Tree House.

This is an exciting time to join the Chestnut Tree House team and be part of transforming and developing the service. The role will be hybrid, with a mix of home and office-based work and will involve some travel across the catchment area.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role and requires dedication and commitment to ensure children and young people are at the centre of care.

For further details and an informal discussion about the role please contact Sharon Wheeler on 01903 871800.

Due to the remote location and community based, access to your own transport is essential.
