Hope House & Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice has an exciting opportunity for registered Nurses (Children’s Nurses or Adult Nurses (RN) with paediatric experience) to join our care team to provide excellent specialist palliative and end of life care to children and young people. You will be a self-motivated and compassionate nurse working as part of a supportive team to provide holistic care to children and young people with complex, life-threatening conditions.

Whether you are an experience nurse looking for a new challenge, or a newly qualified nurse with a passion for palliative care, we are committed to the development of our employees and will offer you a comprehensive training package. You will continue to develop your knowledge and clinical skills enabling you to deliver the highest standards of care which supports our values and ethos that no one should suffer the death of a child alone. Whilst maintaining and enhancing your skills, you will have the opportunity and time to build meaningful relationships with children and their families, which make these incredibly fulfilling roles.

As a valued member of our team, you will be providing care to children and young people who have been diagnosed with life-limiting illnesses, examples include cancer, cystic fibrosis, Batten Disease, Muscular Dystrophy and cerebral palsy. You will have the compassion and communication skills to put the needs of the child and their family at the heart of everything you do, so that we are able to provide the right care and support for them, when they need us most.

What we offer:

  • a competitive salary which is comparable to the NHS
  • pay enhancements to reward unsociable hours and overtime working
  • generous annual leave entitlement of 33 days per year (FTE), increasing bi-annually up to 38 days per year, as well as long service milestones being awarded additional one-off weeks of annual leave
  • a comprehensive training package – including protected learning and development time
  • annual personal development review to support career aspirations
  • continuation of NHS pension scheme or organisational pension scheme
  • a range of other benefits including occupational health and counselling services.

We would love to hear from you if you have a positive approach to your work and share our values of providing fair and equitable access to our services for the children, young people and families of North Wales. This is a worthwhile challenge and a varied job in which your success will make a real difference, click apply today.
