About us:

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We are support around 300 families both in our hospice and in family homes.
Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family including respite short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and much much more. It costs more than £5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive around 20% of our funding from government sources.

The role:

We are currently looking for a physiotherapist who can work 37.5 hours per week and will consider a job share between two therapists.

We are looking for a highly motivated Paediatric physiotherapist to join our care team, working 37.5 hours per week. To maximise our ability to scope the right individuals we are happy to consider a job share.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and expanding team and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, providing therapy to children and young adults with neurodevelopmental disorders aged 0-25. As we currently have funding for 1 WTE, the successful candidate must be confident to work as a sole practitioner alongside different professional roles.

The requirements:

As a physiotherapist you will have extensive knowledge and expertise in delivering therapy for children and young people with life shortening conditions in a variety of settings.
You will be expected to provide programmes of therapy for our children accessing Bluebell Wood based on each child’s individual need. This will often include a mix of individual therapy and group sessions to help them achieve their physical potential and enhance comfort. The team also work with other health professionals and schools to provide guidance on ability and any equipment/aids.
