What you will be doing:

In this role, you will act as a first point of contact both face to face and over the telephone, handling a diverse range of enquiries and visits from families, volunteers, supporters, staff and members of the public. In addition you will provide a high level of administrative and customer care support to include donation processing, database maintenance, delivering support activities for online fundraising page supporters. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and deepen your understanding of fundraising and charity work, be involved in maintaining excellent donor and supporter relationships whilst working within a supportive and professional fundraising team. Charlton Farm is a beautiful and well equipped workplace at the edge of Bristol with plenty of free parking, surrounded by beautiful walks and views. The role is 21 hours per week worked over three days: Wednesday to Friday.

The Successful Candidate:

You will be adept at prioritising competing demands and able to adapt your approach to a variety of situations and audiences. You will have a good telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills, with an excellent understanding of confidentiality and data protection, an interest in the aims and objectives of Children’s Hospice South West, a professional approach with tact and diplomacy and the ability to enthuse and motivate others. You will have a flexible and collaborative approach to teamwork, and the ability and confidence to apply your own initiative. An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft (Word, Excel and Outlook) and database management is essential as is the ability to carry out detailed work with high attention to detail and accuracy.
