Retail Area Manager – Sussex & South East Hampshire

37.5 hours, 5 days/week.
(Part time option of 4 days would be considered)
£35,798 per annum
Location – home or Worthing office to be discussed

St Barnabas Hospices offers specialist palliative care through two hospices: St Barnabas House adult hospice in Worthing and Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice near Arundel in Sussex. Our shops and Distribution Centre provide one of our most important revenue streams and offer quality items and a friendly service.

We are seeking an experienced and professional Retail Area Manager to join our successful retail team. In this interesting and varied role, you will be reporting to and working closely with our Head of Retail to develop the full sales potential of our expanding chain of charity shops in Sussex and South East Hampshire.

You will be a target-driven individual capable of driving sales and profitability while enhancing the high standards in St Barnabas and Chestnut Tree House charity shops.

You will need experience of managing multi-site retail operations preferably within the charity sector or from the fashion or hospitality sectors. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task, are essential. We are looking for a team player who can develop and manage a talented group of staff.

The role requires numeracy, literacy, and proven sales innovation. Good IT skills are required along with sound knowledge of EPOS and stock auditing.

A driving licence is essential – a car is provided in this post.
