Information about our #Fit for Future campaign

For the last 20 years, Tŷ Hafan has been in the unique position of providing comfort, care and support to over 840 children with life-limiting conditions and their families across Wales. Over this time, our hospice had been a home away from home for many of our children and families.
However, the number of families who need our help continues to grow. We are seeing a rise in children with increasingly complex conditions who require even more specialist support and, in order to meet their needs, we must make significant improvements to our facilities and equipment.
To ensure we are able to continue to deliver the highest standard of care to our families in a warm, welcoming environment, we need to undergo a major refurbishment of our hospice, ensuring that it is fit for the next generation.

Vital to providing this free care and support are:

  • the nurses and therapists who care for children and young people around
  • the clock to keep them pain free
  • members of our specialist team who provide emotional and practical support to ease worries and give families more precious time together
the advisers who tell families about the financial support they’re entitled to and how they can access other support services
  • the advocates who work on the behalf of families, making sure their voices and opinions are heard by health and social care services
  • the volunteers who support Tŷ Hafan’s services and raise awareness of them locally and nationally
  • the fundraisers who give their time and energy to raise the money that makes all of our work possible
  • the board of trustees to lead and develop the Charity and take forward its charitable aims.

Together, we are a very special team that creates a lifetime of memories for life-limited children, young people and their families to cherish.
