Our Patron Mason Mount scoops Academy Graduate Award

News and comment

Congratulations to our Patron Mason Mount, who has been recognised for his incredible achievements on the pitch and inspiring charity work off the pitch. Mason has been awarded the Premier League Academy Graduate Award for 2020/21 following a stellar season with Chelsea Football Club.

The Academy Graduate Award has been created to recognise former academy players who have gone on to achieve significant footballing success. Mount succeeds Marcus Rashford who took home the award last season.

Mason was also voted as the 2020/21 Chelsea Player of the Year by supporters and is up for Premier League Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season.

Off the pitch, Mason Mount became our patron in January 2021 and has been doing all he can to raise awareness and vital funds to help us reach out and support more families caring for seriously ill children and families. We are blow away by Mason’s enthusiasm, commitment and ideas to help put these children and families in the spotlight.

Over the last year since Mason Mount first met Together for Short Lives, Mason has already made a huge difference, including supporting the charity’s Children Hospice Week campaign and raising much-needed funds by getting behind its Christmas Together Appeal, and a special fundraising raffle that Mason launched to mark his patronage.
